Biomass Crusher Horizontal is a high-capacity site crusher with cutter bar. It handles all wood-based biomass effortlessly, including impure materials such as sandy stumps and wood waste that cannot be processed with a conventional chipper. The Saalasti Crush H crusher is particularly suitable for power plants and biomass terminals that require high capacity and also handle impure materials such as sandy stumps, waste wood or wood-based construction waste. In addition to impure materials, Saalasti Crush H processes all clean wood-based materials, such as logs, twig logs and loose waste, thinning trees and tops.

The Multitool ™ rotor makes it possible to utilize a wide range of materials
Thanks to the Multitool rotor of the Crush H crusher, the device can be easily converted into a chipper by changing the teeth. The chipping or cutter bar of the device can be replaced according to the material to be processed, in which case it is possible to process various materials in various ways. Replacing cutter bar and increasing the range of materials is an important feature during the life cycle of a plant, as the power plant or biomass terminal typically changes the material being processed over the years.
A feed conveyor up to 2.4 meters wide allows the load to be unloaded from two cars simultaneously
The capacity of the Saalasti Crush H crusher is selectable from 150 to 600 I-m3 / h (P63) and the width of the crusher system can be up to 2.4 meters. The wide feed conveyor allows large quantities to be fed to the crusher at one time, for example from two cars at the same time.
Once the material is loaded onto the feed conveyor, it is processed by the efficient rotor of the crusher to the desired piece size. The piece size of the processed material can be selected between P32-P100 based on the customer’s need, the material to be processed and the intended use, and can also be changed afterwards. It is also possible to increase the capacity of the crushed stone by increasing the power of the engine.

How does the device withstand rocks and other contaminants among the material being treated?
The Crush H Crusher is designed to withstand dirty materials such as sandy stumps and other wood-based materials that cannot be handled with a standard chipper.
The device has metal detectors to detect metallic contaminants. When the metal detector is activated, the device stops the feed of the material, allowing the metal to be safely removed by reversing the feed conveyor.
What is the service life of the device?
When it comes to the service life of the Crush H crusher, we are talking about decades. All consumables and components of the device are replaceable. With proper care and maintenance, the device will remain in working order from one decade to the next. The sawmill machines are so durable and long-lasting that old machines have been moved from closed factories to new ones.
Can Saalasti Crush be converted to a Chipper and vice versa?
Yes. The Saalasti Crush H crusher has a Multitool rotor, which can be equipped with a crusher or chopping blade according to the material to be processed. By changing the blades, the machine can be converted into either a crusher or a chipper, as required.
